Dale A. Berryhill, President

Dale is a third-generation Memphian.  He grew up watching Sivad and Studio Wrestling on TV, buying Buried Treasures from the Merry Mobile, and visiting the Enchanted Forest every Christmas.  As a child, he appeared with his Cub Scout troop on Happy Hal's Fun House, and his first job was throwing the Memphis Press-Scimitar from his bicycle. He attended Scenic Hills Elementary School, Raleigh-Egypt High School (Class of 76), and the University of Memphis (Class of 80).  While in college he served on the Memphis & Shelby County Youth Guidance Commission.  He was a regular contributor to Memphis Magazine in the 1980s, and he is the author of "Whatever It Takes: The First 50 Years of Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center," published in 2006.

Glenn Miller, Web Designer

Glenn attended Grahamwood Elementary, Kingsbury Jr. High, and Kingsbury High School (Class of 63).  His first job was bagging groceries at the Pic-Pac on Summer at Highland.  He remembers riding the #52 bus downtown with his mother to shop at Goldsmiths.  While they were downtown, he would supplement his stamp collection at the Herron-Hill Stamp Shop next to the Warner Theater on Main Street.  While in high school he and his friends would swim at Maywood or the pool at Gaisman Park.  After a stint in the military during the Vietnam War, he attended the University of Memphis
(Class of 73).  His web design firm is
Website-Connection, and he is the webmaster of his high school class site:
Kingsbury Class of 1963.

Bonnie Kourvelas, Research Associate

Bonnie Kourvelas is a native Memphian with a love of local history. She grew up in East Memphis and graduated from Sheffield High School and the University of Memphis, starting her career as a TV newswriter and producer before coming back to her hometown. She has produced four documentaries on Memphis history for the "Memphis Memoirs" series on WKNO-TV: Lost Memphis, At the Movies, Beyond the Parkways, and When TV Came to Town. The last two garnered regional Emmy nominations.  Her "real" job is now in FedEx Corporate Communications, but she freelances as host and segment producer of Southern Routes, a monthly magazine-style show on WKNO about interesting people, places, and things about the South. Find out more at the
Southern Routes website.

Elena Sabbatini, Project Manager
Elena is a third-generation Memphian who grew up in Midtown.  She attended St. Anne's on Highland, then White Station High School (Class of 02).  Her first job was working for Shelby County government, and she did such a good job that she received the "Key to the County" from Shelby County Mayor Jim Rout.  She earned both a BA and a BBA from Mississippi State (Class of 07) before returning to her hometown.  While Elena is too young to remember much about Memphis history, she's a whiz at Photoshop and the other programs that make this website what it is.
