Clark Tower

| The building was designed by architect Robert Lee Hall, who also designed the 100 North Main Building in downtown Memphis, as well as Patterson Hall at the University of Memphis. It is 34-stories high and is located on Poplar Avenue. It was completed in 1972. At 400 feet hight it can be seen from vantage points of eight to ten miles away. |

The caption from this 1970s postcard reads:
CLARK TOWER, East Memphis. Clark Tower, 34 story office building, occupied 1971. Highest in Mississippi Valley from St. Louis to New Orleans. Crowned by an American flag 24 hours a day and its own halo at night. Clark Tower is situated in the White Station Center, 1500 Poplar.

My husband and I met there in 1980. He worked on the 14th floor and I
worked on the 22nd floor. We've been married for 27 years now.
