2002 marked the 50th birthday of
Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center.
Two of the remarkable ladies who helped make the
hospital possible
returned to join the celebration. Welcoming them back is the 2002 Le Bonheur Club
president, Debbie Edmundson.
On the right is 101-year-old Billie Ann Carrington,
first president of the Le Bonheur Club when it was
founded in 1923.
On the left is Elise Pritchard, Le Bonheur Club
president in 1952,
who released the balloons with the hospital keys
attached
at the opening ceremony fifty years before.
