The first rock concert I ever saw was at the Memphis Colisum about 1966 and
it was the Dave Clark 5. Anyone out there go to that concert?

The very first rock concert I ever attended was at the Mid-South Coliseum.
The Beatles performed 2 shows there on August 19, 1966 and I was at the
afternoon show. I never heard a word of lyrics or a single note of
music.....the entire time, all I could hear was screaming....my own and
everyone else's!

Attended many a sporting event at the Mid-South Coliseum. Watched plenty of
Memphis State Tiger games when they were in the Missouri Valley Conference,
coached by Moe Iba then later Dana Kirk. Watched the Memphis Americans,
Pros, and then Tams of the old ABA. I saw the old Memphis Wings and
Southstars in hockey. The Memphis Rogues and Storm in indoor soccer.
Attended Circus's, Rodeo's and Monster Truck shows. I remember the fumes
inside were terrible. I saw two concerts, The Osmonds and Ronnie Milsaps
