Sorry, We're Closed


We're sorry, but this website has been closed down. We had hoped to build a comprehensive database of Memphis history and nostalgia, but the widespread attitude that "everything on the web is free" resulted in much of our content being illegally downloaded and posted elsewhere. This reduced the traffic coming to our site, and with no one clicking on our ads,we are unable to generate enough revenue to justify the work required, even as a hobby. More importantly, we had many photos posted by permission of third parties, and when people steal them without giving credit, we could be liable, a risk we're not willing to take. It's a shame that there won't be an organized and comprehensive database like this for students and others to refer to, but as is so often the case, the actions of a discourteous few have ruined the fun for the rest of us. We thank everyone who donated materials to our site, and for all the great comments that were posted.
